Enjoy our brand-new infinity pool and spa that also overlook the beautiful marina. Pacifica Hotels is actively searching for a Director of Front Office for the Marina del Rey Hotel. The Director of Front Office will be responsible for directing and administering of all Front Office operations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to: Direct and administer all Front Office operations to include, but not limited to, guest service and registration (check-in/check-out), room inventory and availability, guest service standards and initiatives, product quality, cost controls and overall profitability, marketing initiatives, systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, department management, payroll, policy and procedure implementation and enforcement and meeting participation and facilitation Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly  Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly  Initiate and implement marketing and up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities to maximize room occupancy and overall revenue Ensure team members have current knowledge of hotel products, services, facilities, events, pricing and policies and knowledge of the local area and events Run and complete daily reports, analyze data and make decisions based on data Resolve guest issues and concerns to guest satisfaction Recruit, interview and train team members  Complete the following individual duties: 1. Daily Cash Report 2. No Shows 3. Billing Disputes 4. Accounts receivables 5. Banking 6. Bad Checks, credit card debts 7. Open, stamp, sort, distribute mail 8. Accounts payable preparation 9. Security reports Check travel agent commissions, franchise frequent stay program activity and central reservations. Qualifications Experience Required 2 years:Minimum of two years hotel experience as Front Office Manager/Department Head or progressive front office responsibility. Preferred - Hotel front desk operations and procedures. - Personnel supervision and training. - Salesmanship and public relations. - Ability to make timely, effective decisions. - Ability to prioritize, organize and delegate work assignments. - Ability to maintain good team member relations. - Ability to develop and maintain effective guest relations. - Ability to manage multi-departmental operations.
